Board Members

OUR APPROACH

Esports Wales is a Community Interest Company set up to support and promote esports in Wales. 

 

The board of directors are made up of appointed members, elected members from clubs, and co-opted members. 

 

Board members are appointed to: 

  • Promote the Benefits of Esports: Advocate for the positive impact that esports can have on Wales’ diverse society, aligning with Esports Wales’ vision as a key contributor to government policy on esports.
  • Challenge Esports Wales: Ensure Esports Wales meets its aims, objectives, and performance targets by providing oversight and constructive feedback.
  • Promote High Standards: Act in a manner that upholds high standards, and values of Esports Wales including the protection of public finances and ethical conduct.
  • Corporate Responsibility and Risk Management: Appreciate and understand the importance of corporate responsibility and risk management to ensure Esports Wales’ activities are conducted effectively and efficiently.

WHO ARE THE BOARD MEMBERS

Our Board comprises highly experienced individuals from all areas of life, including education, broadcast, game development, business and of course, esport.

Gweirydd Davies

Director – Chair

Gweirydd works on a number of large projects within Wales, A passion for gaming and esports

Keiran Russell

Finance – Director 

Keiran is involved in helping a number of start ups in Wales.

Rob Griffiths

Director – Education 

 Rob is an ex AAA Developer who now teaches his passion. Heavily involved within the game scene in North Wales

Codie Hardaway

Director – Players

Owner of Wrexham Robins. Rocket League Manager for Esports Wales which lead the team to Gold Medal at the Commonwealth Esports Championships. 

Kit Vickery

Director – DEI

Working in various roles within the industry, playing for the Welsh national team in the Commonwealth.

Josh Hughes

Director – Clubs

Club Board of Aberystwyth Artists. Working for some of the top game development companies in Wales. 

Morgan James

Director – Pathways

 Upcoming esports talent from Gower College Swansea, and co-owner of the Wolfhounds esports team. 

Charles Skinner

Director – Creative

Freelance and Co Owner of the Cardiff Pirates 

Jess Roughton

Director – Community and Safeguarding

Esports Lecturer and national rocket league player. Committee Member of the Goats.  

Jacob Williams 

Director – TA/Coaches

Expereinced in Tournaments for Rainbow Six, Esports Lecature and Co-Owner of Cardiff Pirates.
