Today we sat down with Foukwan aka Josh Ong.
What is your gamer tag and how did you get the name?
Foukwan – Don’t really remember to be honest; I needed a new alias and somehow I’ve ended up here.
What age did you start playing games and what’s the first game you remember playing?
My dad got me in at the earliest age possible, given the fact he used to play DOOM in the cupboard as I was sleeping as a child in the adjacent room. First serious game I remember playing would be the first Halo.
What made you decide to pursue a role in Esports?
I’ve always loved the competitive aspect of games and the qualities it forces out. In my mind, moving onto Esports was the natural path of progression.
What’s your all time favourite game?
Halo 3
What is a typical day like for you?
Wake up, breakfast, Lectures, Overwatch, Dinner, Sleep, Repeat.
What do you like to do when you aren’t gaming or working in gaming?
Football, Playing Music and Pretending that I go to all of my Lectures.
Can you give any advice to anyone looking to start working in the Esports industry?
It’s never too late to get stuck in.
