Wales and England Set to Battle in Historic Home Nations Tournament – Coventry, Sunday 23rd

The rivalry between Wales and England takes center stage this Sunday as six teams compete in the first-ever Hado Home Nations Tournament at the Hado UK Centre in Coventry. This groundbreaking event promises fast-paced action, tactical depth, and national pride like never before.

Hado is a groundbreaking augmented reality (AR) sport that blends physical movement with digital gameplay, creating an immersive and competitive experience like no other. Players wear AR headsets and use motion sensors to launch energy blasts and deploy shields in real-time, turning the arena into a dynamic battlefield. Unlike traditional esports, Hado requires both mental strategy and physical agility, making it a unique fusion of gaming and sport. With its fast-paced action and innovative technology, Hado is redefining what competitive play looks like for the next generation.

Teams and Format

  • Teams: 3 Welsh teams and 3 English teams
  • Matches: Each team plays three matches, facing every opposing nation once
  • Games per Match: 5 unique formats designed to challenge every skill set:
    1. Scale 1 – No points can be spent on scale
    2. 2v2 – No point spend restrictions
    3. 7pt Shield – Teams must allocate at least 7 points to shields
    4. 1v1 – No point spend restrictions
    5. 3v3 – No point spend restrictions

Scoring: Each game win earns 1 tournament point, making every round critical to the final standings.
